Suck on this Randy Newman

I'm short. Really really short. 5 feet tall. YES 5 feet. Not 4' 11" like some people keep slandering me by saying. But now guess what? NPR says it's better to be short!

Huh. So in other words, short people (4'10 here... on a tall day) are more with it and in the here and now than tall people. Works for me! Just another item to add to my list of Why Short People Are Far Superior To Tall Folk...

Having seen you in person, you are 5 feet. I'm 4'10" and you looked statuesque compared to me!

Yay, I'm 5'0" rounded up. I knew good things come in small packages.

I'm tall, so unfortunately can't relate on the height issue, but I can imagine you must feel the same way I did a few years ago when a prominent fashion magazine declared small breasts were back in style.

I'm a foot taller than you are, and I agree that short women are wonderful and have it better in lots of ways. You live longer for one thing - fewer cells to go bad. Also you can date more guys.

I tried so hard to be open to dating shorter men but it never really worked. In fact, I generally only feel serious chemistry with men who are taller than I am, or at least my height.

Used to piss me off when shorties like you would scoop up some guy who was 6'3". But I married happily and had a couple of other nice long relationships with tall guys before that, so I've let go of that old resentment.

Sorry to be so banal considering what else is going on today. Keep up the good work on Tiller. What a world we live in. I have to log off and practice detaching from that latest horror.
